This is a fictional demo site. On a real school's site using the Bright Presence Digital platform, the school — not Bright Presence Digital — is the data controller. The policy below is a template a real school would adapt.
Who holds your data
The school operating this website is the data controller for any information submitted via forms on this site (such as a tour request or contact message). Bright Presence Digital is the platform provider — a service provider that hosts the website infrastructure but does not independently use, sell, or share your information.
What we collect on this site
- Contact / inquiry information you voluntarily submit via forms (name, email, phone, message).
- Basic analytics such as page views, referring page, approximate region, and device type. See Cookie Notice.
We do not collect information about children under 13 on this site. See our Children's Privacy Notice.
What we do not collect on this site
Student records, tuition/billing information, financial aid information, medical information, grade records, transcripts, and other regulated personal data are never handled by this site. All such functions are performed by third-party vendors selected by the school — see Third-Party Vendor Disclosures.
How we use information you submit
- To respond to your inquiry
- To schedule a tour or visit
- To follow up with admissions or advancement-related information you requested
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for profiling.
How long we keep it
Inquiry-form messages are retained for up to 18 months, then deleted. Visitor analytics are aggregated and retained for up to 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted. Email privacy@bpdschool.demo with your request. We honor verifiable requests within 30 days.
Special notices
- California residents: see Your California Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell / Share).
- New York residents (Education Law § 2-d): where applicable to a school operating this site, the school commits to the supplemental protections required by § 2-d, including vendor-level contractual safeguards and 7-day breach notification. On this demo site, no § 2-d-covered data is collected.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and submitted data is encrypted in transit. We use industry-standard security practices and review them regularly. No system is 100% secure, and we do not claim it is.
